In the wild world of Chainsaw Man, where demons and danger lurk around every corner, my favorite protagonist Denji stands out not just for his battles, but also for his... um, unique tastes. If Denji were to cook up something culinary, it might just be as wild and unexpected as his life. So, grab your aprons and prepare for a jam-packed journey as we concoct a recipe that combines strawberry jam, plum jam, orange marmalade, cinnamon, and honey – a mix as eccentric as Denji himself.
The Inspiration
Denji, our simping yet lovable Chainsaw Man hero, is known for his fearless antics and total disregard for the mundane. Naturally, his culinary creation Ultimate Toast is no different! The mess he made on toast created a medley of strawberry jam, plum jam, and orange marmalade, cinnamon topped with honey and butter. It might sound like a chaotic recipe, but hey, so is Denji's life, right? The idea behind combining all of the ingredients in one jar will hopefully make Denji’s life easier and a little less messy.
Ingredients:
2 Plums 250 grams or 1 ¾ cup
Strawberries 250 grams or 1 ¾ cup
2 Oranges 250 grams or 1 ¾ cup
Sugar 750 grams or 3 ¾ cups
Cinnamon Stick 1
Honey ¼ cup
*Depending on the size of the plums and orange the weights will vary
Instructions:
Wash all fruits
Remove the pit from the plums, medium dice, and put in a container
Remove stems from strawberries, medium dice, and put in a container
Pour 250 grams/1 ¼ cup sugar into each container of diced plums and strawberries. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight.
Juice Oranges into a container
Remove pulp from orange halves and place into a container with juice. Be careful to not get any of the pith, white spongey substance you see when peeling an orange, it is bitter and we want our orange marmalade to be sweet.
Now quarter the orange halves and scrap all the pith from each peel to the best of your ability.
Mince the orange peels and place them into the container with the juice and pulp
Add 250 grams/1 ¼ cup sugar to your orange mix
Pour each container of fruit and sugar into pots and simmer on medium-high heat until they reach a temperature of 220° F. Turn off the heat.
Add Cinnamon Stick to a glass jar.
Pour each jam into the jar one at a time. Letting each jam sit in the refrigerator to gel before adding the next jam so they stay separated.
Top jar with honey
Toast some bread and enjoy with a nice dollop of butter
In the wild world of Chainsaw Man, where demons might be lurking behind your next snack, Denji's culinary creation fits right in – unconventional, unpredictable, and uproariously hilarious. This jam-packed fusion of flavors, much like Denji's life, is a tribute to embracing the absurd, finding joy in the chaos, and taking on challenges with a quirky grin. So, channel your inner Denji, throw caution to the wind, and savor this ball-kicking jam that's as unapologetically wild as the series itself. And remember, just like Denji, life's a mess, but it's one heck of an adventure!
